Im am using an Asus ROG G750jx that shipped as Win 8 and was immediately upgraded to 8.1 when i got it almost a year ago. in that time I have had no problem what so ever plugging in usb 3.0 and 2.0 devices. after hours of searching tonight i've tried system restore updating my chipset and bios from Asus support site. When i click update driver, a driver cannot be found and the driver from intel does not work as it is only supported in windows 7. I also tried uninstalling and restarting as that worked for someone in a thread i came across. but it just reappeared in the same shape it was before after restart. I really need a solution to this problem as I think all ports are usb 3.0 on this and i can only use the touchpad and keyboard.
